The Moulton campus has several well equipped workshops for students to undertake practical work while specialist workshops for all trades can be found at the East Northants and Daventry vocational skills academies. The workshops at Moulton include a specialist facility for brick and block work and students become involved in practical projects around the campus and estate, producing finished work to commercial, professional standards.

Apprenticeship in Brickwork Level 2
With access to several towns, cities and rural locations, as well as major urban centres such as Birmingham and London, the CCBE will take full advantage of its setting and become a catalyst for a better society. This purpose built Campus is the teaching venue for students in the east of the county in the vocational areas of Brickwork, Carpentry, Plumbing, Wall and Floor Tiling and Animal Management. The facilities at the academy include four large teaching workshops, classrooms, an animal management centre and a learning resource centre, together with a range of catering and recreational amenities.

Students generally progress onto a higher level of Brickwork course, move into a job with training such as an apprenticeship or move into full time employment. The Qualifications and Credit Framework QCF recognises vocational achievement through the attainment of credits for units of study and for whole qualifications. The smallest qualification is the Award, then the Certificate, and the largest is the Diploma, although there are other intermediate qualifications also available.
The duration of study will typically reflect the size of the qualification.
